A SERMON ON THE WAR, BY THE Rev. ELIAS NASON
"...Our father's God, to thee--
Author of Liberty, To thee we sing--
Long may our land be bright,
With freedom's holy light;
Protect us by thy might,
Great God our king...."
.
"IN GOD IS OUR TRUST!"
.
"...Give close attention to the drill. I repeat to you again, that the men you are to measure weapons with, are experienced marksmen. I have shot with them for many years. They are trained from infancy to the use of fire arms;--they have been practising especially for the last few years, and some of them have laid aside all intoxicating drink in order to secure a steady nerve....."
